The quartz crucible is washing-free product. Wrapping should be opened in clean environments. Quartz crucible should be stored in its original packaging before it starts to be used.
Devitrification:
Devitrification of quartz glass refers to a change from a semi-stable glass to a crystallized stable cristobalite. Under different temperature and pressure, quartz exists as different stable form.
This phenomenon occurs when quartz glass is used at high temperatures for an extended duration or heated with impurities. Devitrification normally starts when the temperature rises above 1200℃ and is accelerated as temperature becomes higher.
Impurity contamination can obviously lower the devitrification temperature. With only small amounts of impurities, deitrification can easily occur even at temperatures below 1000℃. In particular, alkalis or alkaline metals, such as Na, K and Ca, or their chemical compounds can generate devitfification tens or hundreds of times than normal. Devitrification can significantly influence the properties and use of quartz glass.
